About Game Dota 2
Like any other games in ARTS category, Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game and three dimensional fighting. Players use commands to affect their character, which is one out of 110 controllable character named “Heroes”. The game starts at level one for every hero. During the game, their level and power will increase gradually by collecting experience points from battles. The highest level for a character can get is twenty five.
Each time Hero level up, players can either choose a new ability for their character or boots their general statistics. Strength, Agility or Intelligent will influence Hero’s method of combat.
Dota matches take place on a functionally symmetrical map between two teams, the Radiant and the Dire. The Radiant team base is at the southwest corner of the map while the Dire team base is at the northeast corner. Two side’s territory is divided equally by a river. Each team has five members to defense their territory.
Two large structures called “Ancient” on either sides of the map are the main objective of the game. “Ancient” is the fountain that provides health and other structures. Therefore, each team has to destroy “Ancient” of the other team. These team bases are connected by three main paths, known as lane. There are three lanes in total. Two lanes are distributed alongside of the map while the last one is placed in the middle of two bases. Those lanes are protected by defensive towers and a group of autonomous character called “creeps”. Creeps go around the lane and attack any intruders they encounter.
Along with the Radiant and the Dire, there is the third side in Dota 2 located in the forest. Those autonomous characters are referred to be “neutral creep”, they are very aggressive and ready to attack anything. On the Dire side of the east part of the river, there is a boss of neutral creeps whose name Roshan. It requires many team member to kill this boss, in exchange, it will release a powerful item after being killed, called “Aegis of Immortality”, and significant amounts of gold and experience.
How to gain gold in Dota 2
Gold is Dota 2’s currency and Players use gold to buy useful items. There is variety of item with different functions. Some of them boost the statistics of a Hero, others bring new abilities. Although gold will automatically increase while playing, player can earn more gold by killing rivals or autonomous character.
To be more precise, if player kill autonomous character, gold is only granted for the person who takes the final attack. Meanwhile, all team member nearby will be granted gold if they kill the rival ‘Hero”. Destroy towers or Roshan give gold to all team members.
To prevent enemy from gaining gold and experience, a player can kill his comrade or destroy his own team’s tower before the enemies do.

Dota 2 features a variety of seasonal events which allow player to select special game modes to play. Instead of standard battle composition, the seasonal events game will change objective related to the events. Dota 2 has provided 3 seasonal event until now including the Halloween-themed Diretide event,the Christmas-themed Frostivus event, and the New Bloom Festival.
